PCI runs coaching courses for students taking officially certificated language examinations in English, Dutch, Spanish, French, German and Italian. These can be school level examinations as well as more specific examinations in each language. Below are examples of more specific English language examination courses that we offer. TOEFL When studying in English at colleges or universities in The Netherlands you may need to sit the internationally recognised TOEFL 'Test of English as a Foreign Language' examination. PCI runs courses designed to help with your examination preparation. The course helps identify your specific language weaknesses, both written and spoken and these areas are then targeted for improvement. BEC The University of Cambridge offers several internationally recognised certificates and we will gladly supply you with further information upon request. One possibility is the Business English Certificate course (BEC). BEC is a popular course that provides you with a language certificate in English for use in the international business sector. It is a practical course, with corresponding exams, involving the use of language in everyday business situations. There are three levels (BEC 1, 2 & 3), each of which consists of reading, writing, listening and speech fluency elements. All levels are aimed at people who work in the business sector or alternatively are preparing for such an opportunity. ACADEMIC WRITING In addition to the examination courses, we offer workshops and additional training to support you with how you adapt your language skills to an academic environment. For example, we offer courses on academic writing so that you are confident in writing papers and dissertations in English.
