'Problem Solving' and 'Technical Writing' are two separate, intensive three day courses designed to give you 'Made to Measure' language training in your own specialist area. Technical subjects vary from specialised tool making, chemical processing, through manufacturing processes to production planning. The courses are designed for intermediate to advanced speakers of the chosen languages. The 'Problem Solving' course consists of an intensive 3-day training combining technical vocabulary and grammar, which is learned through written exercises, presentations and role-playing. The focus is on problem solving within the work environment and includes situations as diverse as crisis management and customer support. The 'Technical Writing' course consists of an intensive 3-day training focusing on creating clearly written and logical technical reports. The emphasis is on the acquisition of technical vocabulary and terminology as well as basic language improvement. Considerable time is spent on discussing writing styles, format, copy editing and correction of third party reports. At the end of the course you will be asked to submit a fully detailed analysis report of your actual working situation within two weeks of the course ending.
