Long Distance Learning / Video Conferencing

Will you be moving to The Netherlands in the near future?
By using video conferencing we can provide you and even your family with language and culture training before you actually move to the Netherlands.

With video conferencing however we are not just restricted to people moving to or from The Netherlands - we can offer a variety of learning solutions to suit a variety of situations.

What is Video Conferencing (VC)?
Video conferencing is a means of communication between two or more different locations by means of audio and video links, and is the most natural form of long distance training.

How does video conferencing work?
A video conferencing system consists of five components: camera, microphone, monitor, loudspeaker and a codec. A connection suitable for transmitting both audio and visual signals is also required. The camera and microphone record the sound and images in one location. The codec converts, or codes, these signals so that they can be transmitted by monitor and loudspeaker again as image and sound. This may sound complicated, but it isn't. The whole process takes less than a second and simply runs itself. All that the user needs to do is make a telephone call to activate the connection and the training can start at the push of a button. The latest VC systems are not hampered by pauses, enabling natural conversation.

What do you need?
Video conferencing is very simple. The only items needed, apart from the connection, are a VC set and a TV. The connection is made via an ISDN telephone line or the internet.
